My name is Matt Ellacott and I am a photographer in Oxford, specialising in weddings, events, graduations, portraits — vintage and modern — and creative assignments. I have been taking photographs ever since I got my first camera in 1980, and I am very lucky that my career path has led me to making photography my job.

There is no greater satisfaction than capturing unique moments and connections, and I love the whole creative process of producing something special, either for a client or for myself. Many of my inspirations come from the 1920s and 30s, and vintage Hollywood and Film Noir portraits are some of my favourite photography styles.

I love to work with performers, and have photographed many dance events and festivals in the UK and Europe. Away from the camera I am a Lindy Hop dance addict, I help run Oxford Lindy Hoppers, and I have been creating and producing dance festivals in Oxford since 2014. Travel is the other great passion, and my camera is always in hand.
